Chris is a marine biologist and zoologist with a keen interest in biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration. He received his Bachelor of Science (Hons) as well as his Masters of Science at Bangor University, Wales, UK. His research included analysing patterns of elasmobranch decline and their drivers along the east coast of Australia and addressing data gaps in global elasmobranch fisheries using online images.
Chris is passionate about using research and communication to help mitigate the impacts of climate change on our marine ecosystems. His career has included undertaking fisheries, marine mammal and seabird surveys along the Welsh coast, working in the not-for-profit sector on animal welfare and environmental campaigning and volunteering for ocean conservation organisations on campaigns in Antarctica and Australia.
