Joshua completed a Bachelor of Science in 2018, specialising in marine biology and terrestrial ecology, and an Honours degree in 2021, using stable isotope analysis to guide management of green turtles along the NSW coastline – publication pending in Marine Biology.
He previously worked as a research assistant on the Gold Coast, on projects involving understanding the effects of environmental stressors (heat, cold, disease, eutrophication) on invertebrates, machine learning to automate fish ID, and seagrass conservation.
Joshua has 2 years of environmental consultancy experience (in 2018 and 2022), working on various projects ranging from water quality monitoring, environmental impact assessments, and baseline monitoring surveys. His career has involved FIFO work in mines/oil/gas remote sites.
