Joshua has a varied background in trades work and a degree in biochemistry from James Cook University. He then went on to work in poultry microbiome research at Central Queensland University. Following this he moved to Victoria and took up a position as a farm manager for Jade Tiger Abalone where he learned about and became deeply engaged in the world of aquaculture.
After leaving the abalone farm he has started his own aquaculture consultancy and has landed a position on the FRDC VIC RAC.
He has a constant passion to learn new skills and to give back to the community and promote science.
