Ruby's work

Ruby is a marine conservationist who is passionate about biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration and climate change mitigation. She received her Bachelor of Science from The University of Melbourne, where her keen interest in ecology, botany, environmental policy and marine biology deepened.

Ruby recently received a Master of Conservation Biology from the University of Queensland. During this degree she had the opportunity to attend numerous field trips and complete small research projects, gaining skills in data analysis, scientific writing, conservation policy, ArcGIS, and environmental problem solving.

Ruby has volunteered on various marine conservation projects throughout her two degrees, including with Blue Ventures in Madagascar and with The University of Queensland on The Humpback Hearing Acoustic Research Collaboration.

Ruby is excited to be commencing her career in marine conservation with the Blue Carbon Lab and supporting various blue carbon and coastal restoration research projects.
