Climate Change Solutions Climate Change Solutions Climate Change Solutions Climate Change Solutions

Deakin University’s Blue Carbon Lab offers innovative research solutions for helping to mitigate climate change and improve natural capital, while also contributing to jobs, economic growth, capacity building and community wellbeing.

Research Programs

The Blue Carbon Labs’ in-house expertise spans ecology, biogeochemistry, microbiology, environmental economics, modeling and mapping/remote sensing. Our research is divided into 6 major programs:

Dr. Paul Carnell collecting soil cores from Victoria's inland wetlands

Blue Carbon

Managing coastal wetlands for maximum carbon sequestration.
