Diana's work

Diana is a molecular technologist with a focus on genomic applications. She graduated with a Master of Biotechnology and spent 3 years working under Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) experts to further learn and apply NGS to a plethora of scientific research, industry, and manufacturing needs.

Though she does not have an educational background in environmental sciences, she has always been passionate about wildlife conservation and is dedicated to caring for animals; she currently has 6 cats and a Doberman, and frequently rescues strays, facilitates their rehoming and supports animal shelters. She is a passionate advocate for animal welfare which has since inspired her dream to run an animal shelter.

She is excited with her new role at Blue Carbon Lab and hopes to utilise her skills in genomics for eDNA applications whilst also learning more about her peers and their skills in environmental sciences.
