Siegmund's work

Siegmund is a coastal engineer and environmental scientist. His research focuses on getting a better understanding of coastal processes and how they influence coastal zones over time. During his PhD and post-docs, he developed several remote sensing methods and in-situ techniques to quantify hydrodynamics, shoreline changes, and topographical changes in the nearshore environment. He also has experience with numerical models of coastal zones.

At the Blue Carbon Lab, he aims to quantify the physical characteristics and wave climate within ReGenOurCoasts restoration sites, in combination with spatial analysis.

Keywords

Coastal monitoring, remote sensing, numerical modelling, hydrodynamics
