Lenka is an analytical and environmental chemist, with a particular interest in marine and coastal environments. Lenka’s research has involved developing new flow analytical methods and tools for monitoring marine water quality, including a novel ammonia passive sampling device and microfluidic sensors for seawater pH using neural network-based calibration.
Lenka has nine years’ experience in chemistry research and laboratory practice as well as experience working for government agencies, where she has developed an interest in understanding the risks to human health and the environment from industrial pollution, waste and legacy contamination.
